Sandeep Lamichhane became the first Nepali player to play Indian Premier League (IPL). Earlier Sandeep was picked by Delhi Daredevils in base price of 20L. Being in the last in points table, Delhi Daredevils were unable to maintain their momentum from the beginning. Former Captain Gautam Gambhir gave up the captaincy and later on it was handed to Shreyas Iyer. Despite being a quality foreign player in Daredevils team there was always a slim chance for Sandeep to play with the likes of Maxwell, Boult, Rabada, Roy in the playing XI.
Finally the Sandeep was able to make his debut against the Royal Challengers Bangalore and he grab the opportunity by performing exceptionally well. 17 year old Lamichhane took the wicket of Parthiv Patel in his second over by trapping him LBW. Parthiv Patel is a player who made his International Debut as 17 year old. Sandeep was using his variations well and was able to bowl courageously against the world's best batsman Virat Kohi and AB devilliers. He finished his figure as 4-0-25-1. He was able to wins the heart from all over the world.
